Born in Houston, TX in 1981, Ben Somewhere grew up in Terrebonne Parish, in the heart of Cajun country. His first instrument was saxophone in the school band which later got traded in for PA gear. After singing in various punk and hardcore bands as a teenager at 17 he picked up bass guitar. He later joined the Navy at 21 and went some years without performing. He began learning and writing on acoustic guitar while stationed aboard the U.S.S. Louisiana, a nuclear powered submarine. At the end of his final tour in the Navy he settled in Charleston and began performing at local venues.

Jeep White was born and raised in the mountains of West Virginia. The great grandson of Valentine “Judge Wall” Hatfield, Jeep grew up on mountain music and a heritage filled with tales and stories of the Hatfield McCoy Feud. The ups and downs of coal mining in Appalachia gave him the incentive to relocate to the musically rich shores of South Carolina. He has played in Country, Hillbilly, Rock & Roll, Top 40 and Blues Bands throughout the years. The music scene in Charleston, South Carolina, has allowed him to resurrect a lifetimes worth of writing. A cross between Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Neil Young and BB King, his original songs move from country to blues, serious to amusing, covering the spectrum of the struggles and triumphs of the lives we live. Full of emotion, his songs are sure to touch you, make you think, make you laugh and make you cry. Visit our Website Learn more on Facebook

MIKE FREUND (pronounced “friend”) a native of the South Jersey, never made it to his first paying gig. He instead, spent the night in the ER, suffering a concussion and receiving stitches to his head after suffering a car wreck. Once recovered, he persisted, making a name for himself. He performed with, MUNGER N FLORENCE, followed by PIMPHAT. Both bands performed in several local showcases, appearing on local TV 12 Late Night and a small local tour ending at THE HARD ROCK CAFE in Philadelphia. Later, Mike began working as a session player in, The Essence Recording Studio. He would often work in trade for time he could spend on his own recordings. In the early morning hours, after a late night session, all of his music equipment was stolen in a burglary. Once again, he persisted and with the help of his soon to be wife Jenn, together they were able to purchase the equipment needed to continue on. Mike quickly learned he’d need to find a way to finance his music aspirations and his growing family. Now married with a daughter, Mike began to subsidize his income by becoming a completely self employed, solo proprietor of his own[...]

Sill Crow formed in the Summer of 2017 with founding members Chris Roberts, David MacIntire, and Trevor Van Ettan. Chris met David at a local open mic in 2015 where they made an instant musical connection on stage and continued doing so week after week. In search of a drummmer, Chris began phoning friends of friends to make the perfect fit. A mutual friend by the name of Eric Rickert suggested Trevor as the solution. Eric helped Chris and Trevor set up an initial meeting and live studio session at Ocean Industries to explore musical connections. Trevor showed immediate interest and they began rehearsals. Jack Rawley was soon added as the lead guitarist but left the band thereafter in hopes of expanding his own musical horizons. In the summer of 2018 David Sink was added as the lead guitarist for the group and they are quickly picking up steam as they make their rounds in the Lowcountry of Charleston SC. They are a Delta Rock four piece that pulls influences from the humble beginnings of the Blues, R&B, Soul, and even Modern Pop. These influences and inspirations are apparent in their compositions. Sill Crow is currently in the studio working[...]

The Sufferin’ Moses Blues Band plays a blend of soulful and funky-rocking blues, with tight vocal harmonies, skillful guitar work, and a high-energy stage presence. The band formed in Southeast Ohio in 2009, where the founding members met while studying and performing opera and other classical genres. But it is their mutual love for the blues that truly gives them their musical purpose. In 2012, the band took their talents to the beaches and salt marshes of the Charleston, South Carolina Lowcountry. Zach Quillen fronts the band with a powerful voice, sharing guitar duties with Bobby Withers. Brad Huffman, on bass and vocals, and Sean Harshaw on drums keep things steady in the rhythm section. Dan and the Wildfire is a particularly potent cocktail comprised of 1 part old time mountain folk, 1 part classic rock and roll, and 3 parts bottom shelf bourbon. Mix it up and what you get is a musical experience that burns it’s way into your bones and lights up your soul with a crisp, rootsy sound that’ll leave you reeling for another taste of that Wildfire. This Boston based band was started by guitarist and singer-songwriter Dan HL in 2011 with trumpeter Thom Brennan and Keyboardist Matt Hines under the auspices of forging a softer, folk sound. Their sound grew beyond the folk boundary when bassist Sam Katz joined the band. To date, Dan and the Wildfire have played all over New England, Washington D.C., out to Chicago and burned down every place in between. Their third studio album ‘Bull Moose’, released in March of 2015, is the next chapter in the evolution of the folk, rock experience. Their well received second album ‘Smoke Signals’ is available worldwide and follows their debut album, ‘Nothing, Anything, Everything’ released under the moniker ‘Dan HL’ in 2011. His sound has been described as soulful and authentic, and he finds inspiration in folk, rock, americana, blues, roots, and just about any sort of music that moves the soul. His lyrics are often autobiographical, reflecting the peaks and valleys of his own personal journey. I began my guitar playing endeavors around the age of 8. I never had the opportunity to sit and take formal lessons, so my approach consisted of sitting around emulating what I heard around me. My playing discipline was always 3 solid hours of playing a day. Around 15, I joined my first band and experienced mild success as a young performing artist. This allowed me to become more comfortable with my playing and stage presence before finally committing to solo performances at the age of 19. I began writing about my perspectives. The way I saw things from where I stood. I never paid any mind to where it would take me. At 23 years old, in 2014, I tied with local guitarist Jamisun for the win of the Charleston Acoustic Guitar Throwdown Competition. My uncommon guitar playing style gathered a bit of a buzz in the community shortly after that. Now, I have over 35 original songs, over 100 cover songs, a venue list of over 20 local areas, an endorsement deal with Nicola String Company, and a growing network of fellow musicians and listeners! I expect to release a handful of full length albums during my career[...]

Danielle has gained worldwide admiration as both a performer and music educator. After her most recent UK tour with Martin Stephenson and the Dainties, Danielle taught a week- long song-writing workshop at the Akron Civic Center with Nashville notables Steve Bogard and Jamie Floyd. “My goal is to be completely aware of each student’s authenticity and goals, so I can explore with them and reveal creative opportunity. We dug in deep in Akron. The student commitment was astounding and humbling to me.” In addition to a busy regional and national touring schedule, Danielle is co-founder and serves as artist-in-residence for Awendaw Green, an arts network near Charleston SC. For 8 years, every Wednesday, rain or shine, they have been producing a weekly musical review show called The Barn Jam, featuring established, emerging bands, and songwriters[...]

As those who have seen him live can attest, Pierce Edens absorbed the songwriting, storytelling and musical styling of the surrounding Appalachian Mountains, where he spent his childhood. This history takes the form of old time, folk and bluegrass music as well as spoken words of storytellers from his North Carolina home; this has earned him the moniker of “Appalachicana.” Over the last ten years, Edens has been drawing on those roots and blending them with the grungy rock and roll sounds that took him in his teenage years. The result is a haunting and fiery mixture that is notoriously hard to pin down. Allmusic.com classifies Edens as both “Folk-Rock” and “psychedelic-grunge,” and No Depression writer Bill Kopp says “[He] could just as easily- and accurately- be tagged with the singer/songwriter label; He’s a gritty troubadour who takes what he needs from each style, blending and bending it to suit the needs of his songs.” Through relentless touring, independently producing 4 albums (with one on the way), one full length concert film, and sharing the stage with musical heroes such as: Jim Lauderdale, Todd Snider, Will Kimbrough, and Sturgill Simpson, Edens has garnered a dedicated following of fans across the[...]
